DIG offers a variety of ways for you to get involved and
to help the
York Archaeological Trust present archaeology and
York' s
history to the public.
Opportunities to volunteer at the DIG exist throughout the year, so whether you would like to help welcome people, assist with school visits, support our events team, or help out behind the scenes, get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator, Helen Williams, to find out more, on 07769 757 574 or 01904 543400.
School, college and university placements are also available. DIG is an excellent work-based learning environment for those wishing to enter the heritage or leisure industries. Our Volunteer Coordinator will tell you more.
Schools and higher education establishments wishing to extend their teacher's or trainee teacher's development can create a partnership with DIG. A number of opportunities exist, working with our education team on specific projects as well as on focus groups and on specifically tailored INSET days. Telephone our Education Manager, Rachel Tumman, for further details on 01904 543424.
